Cannabis oil in India

Cannabis oils are concentrates that are made by extracting cannabinoids such as THC and CBD from the cannabis plant. Most of the oils you'll find in dispensaries are made by a process called "chemical extraction." These methods use a solvent to extract cannabinoids along with other beneficial compounds such as terpenes and flavonoids and mix them into a carrier such as a hemp oil or MCT oil.

While there are many ways to extract the oil from the cannabis plant, some are safer and more effective than others. CO2 extraction is fast becoming the gold standard as it produces a safe and potent product that is free of chlorophyll, wax, and any toxic residue that other solvents can sometimes leave behind.

How to use cannabis oil?

Choosing how to consume cannabis is all about personal preference. While cannabis oil (cannabis oil in India)doesn't work as rapidly as inhalation methods such as vaping or smoking, it may work more quickly than when swallowing foods. It also comes in a variety of potency options, ranging from oil containing only CBD to a wide range of THC concentrations.

The most effective way to take hemp oil is sublingual, where the oil is placed under the tongue with a dropper and absorbed by mucous membranes that go directly into the bloodstream. This method allows it to bypass the stomach, which increases bioavailability (the number of cannabinoids that make it into your bloodstream when your body absorbs the drug) and takes about 15 to 30 minutes to kick in.

You can also use hemp oil in food and drink by mixing it in food or capsules. Although this method is effective, the bioavailability of anything you ingest is generally low, meaning you will not fully absorb the cannabinoids as they must pass through the stomach and liver. It can take up to 30 to 90 minutes for cannabis oil to be swallowed, depending on what you have eaten and the speed of your metabolism.

Dosing Cannabis Oil

Like any cannabis product, the dosage depends on the individual. It will take a bit of experimentation to find the right dosage for you, but the general rule of thumb is "start low and go slow." You want to find the lowest dosage that delivers the effect you are looking for, and it may be lower than what is recommended on the product label.

Start with a few drops and wait at least an hour to see how you feel. Gradually increase the dose until you experience the effects you want. Keep in mind that more is not always better and a shorter dosage window or "sweet spot" may work best for you. You may need to adjust your dosage over time, but many people find that a consistent dosage can work for their needs over the long term.
